Investing in Education
Ellyn knows that our state and future is only as strong as our public schools. That’s why she supports increasing education funding, raising teacher pay and benefits, and empowering local school boards and administrators to make the best decisions for their students. As the mother of students who attended public and private schools, she knows that parents deserve to have choices when it comes to their children’s education but the legislature’s top priority must be funding public education.
Protecting Insurance Consumers
Oklahomans deserve access to affordable, reliable insurance and should not have to navigate an unfair or confusing system to get the coverage they need. Ellyn will work to protect consumers, promote accountability in the insurance industry, and ensure families have access to the coverage and care they need when they need it most.
Expanding Mental Health Access
Ellyn understands that access to quality mental health care is essential for Oklahoma families. She believes people experiencing a mental health crisis—and the family members, caregivers, friends, and coworkers who support them—deserve access to the care and resources they need. Ellyn will work with lawmakers, mental health providers, and community organizations to strengthen Oklahoma's mental health system and expand access to quality care across the state.
Advancing Disability Rights
Every Oklahoman deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, independence, and equal access to their community. Ellyn will continue advocating for people with disabilities by expanding accessibility, protecting individual rights, and working to ensure that people of all abilities have the opportunity to thrive.
Government Transparency
Ellyn believes Oklahoma's government should work for everyone, not just those with the loudest voices or the most influence. She is committed to making the legislative process more transparent, accessible, and open to the people it serves. Oklahomans deserve to understand how decisions are made at the Capitol, have meaningful opportunities to share their perspectives, and know that their voices are being heard by their elected officials.
Lowering
the Cost of Living
Too many Oklahoma families are struggling to keep up with the rising cost of everyday necessities. Ellyn will fight for policies that lower costs, strengthen working families, and make it easier for Oklahomans to afford housing, healthcare, utilities, and other essentials.
